This onboarding guide covers the new and improved early access version of Uniform's Asset Library, which includes multiple enhancements to help teams organize, discover, and govern their assets more effectively.

🏷️ Asset labels
Introduce structure to your asset library with a purpose-built labelling system.
- Create labels with custom names and colors for at-a-glance recognition.
- Organize labels into groups: for example, a "Status" group containing "Approved", "WIP", and "Needs Review", or a "Campaign" group for seasonal initiatives.
- Apply one or more labels to any asset directly from the asset library.
- Add new labels inline while labeling assets (based on permissions), so you never have to leave your workflow to extend your label system.
- Manage your entire labelling library from a dedicated Labels page in Project Settings, with full support for creating, editing, and deleting labels and groups.
- Use the "Save and add another" flow to create multiple labels in quick succession.
- Label permissions are integrated into the existing role-based access control system, so you can control who can create and manage labels.
- Default labels on Asset parameters: Architects can configure default labels for asset parameters and fields. This will pre-select the chosen labels when authors select assets for that parameter or field. When assets are uploaded via an asset parameter or field with default labels, the newly created asset will have these default asset labels assigned for automatic labeling.
🔍 Advanced search and filtering for assets
Find exactly the asset you need with powerful new filtering tools.
- Use the new quick filter bar in the asset library sidebar for efficient filtering by label or asset type.

- Filter assets by labels, file type, and file size, dimensions and other asset metadata
- Combine multiple filter criteria to narrow results across large libraries.
